Zurich Art Weekend is a catalyst that envisions Zurich as a place for experiences and encounters, a thriving hub for the arts where diverse voices converge. From exhibition openings, guided tours, performances, urban interventions, and art walks to thought-provoking panel discussions, cocktails and gatherings across town, Zurich Art Weekend transforms the city into an unmissable discovery of the international contemporary art world. As an artist-centred weekend, the national and international art community is invited to engage in meaningful exchanges. Zurich Art Weekend is committed to being an inclusive, accessible platform, offering the program free of charge.
Zurich Art Weekend began in 2018, driven by a collective vision to unite the local art ecosystem and strengthen Zurich’s participation in the global arts conversation. Guided by founding members and a distinguished academic committee comprising curators, artists, museum directors and critics, Zurich Art Weekend evolved from 35 to 65 art venues and organisations, expanding its annual audience to over 45,000 visitors. In 2025, Zurich Art Weekend hosted a weekend-long discovery with 71 venues, a curated program of 75+ exhibitions and 150+ events with 180+ artists. For the Ninth edition of ZURICH ART WEEKEND in June 2026, we look forward to welcoming over 45’000 visitors to the city of Zurich for an exciting programme of talks, performances, guided walks, tours, cocktails, parties and more, announced in April 2026.
