Julius Baer is deeply committed to supporting and promoting the visual arts in Switzerland. The unique corporate collection – displayed in Julius Baer’s meeting rooms, staff restaurants, offices, foyers and corridors around the globe – today comprises over 5’000 works from a wide variety of media and can be traced back to the early 20th century. Collecting art has always played a central role in the Baer family, and artworks were gradually acquired for the Bank’s premises. On the initiative of Hans J. Baer (1927-2011), the Julius Baer Art Collection was established in 1981, guided by the firm belief that art in a business environment enhances the culture of discussion and is inspirational to employees and clients alike.
