WALKS

Zurich Art Walks is a curated public program offering guided tours through the city’s art ecosystem. The program unfolds across two complementary formats, each proposing a distinct approach to engaging with contemporary art in Zurich.

The Zurich Art Walks invite local professional curators to guide the public through exhibitions across participating venues, typically structured by neighborhood or area. These walks provide accessible yet in-depth insights into artistic practices, curatorial frameworks, and the broader cultural landscape of Zurich.

Alongside these, the ZHdK Research Tours, conceived and led by students of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) within the MA Cultural Critique, Curatorial Studies program, present experimental, research-driven formats. In these tours, students place their curatorial inquiries in dialogue with a selection of participating venues, creating thematic itineraries that reflect their individual research perspectives while offering fresh and critical approaches to art mediation.

Together, the tours connect participants with institutions, galleries, and off-spaces, fostering new models of public engagement with contemporary art. Developed in collaboration with ZHdK since 2018, the program supports hands-on curatorial experience while expanding the ways audiences encounter the city’s art scene.

In addition to the editions’ program, Zurich Art Walks are also offered year-round on the third Saturday of each month, led by professional curators.
