Galerie Peter Kilchmann is pleased to present ”Side by side”, the fifth solo exhibition by Swiss artist Marc Bauer (*1975 in Geneva; lives and works in Berlin and Zurich). The exhibition brings together paintings, works on paper, and mural drawings, forming a spatial and narrative constellation with a soundtrack by Sin Maldita (Tim Roth) and Philipp Hülsenbeck. Closely connected to Bauer’s current exhibition “Marc Bauer. Fear Rage Desire, Still Standing” at Kunstmuseum Basel, the presentation reflects on friendship, emotional proximity, and vulnerability within broader social and political realities.

Galerie Peter Kilchmann is pleased to present the fifth solo exhibition by renowned artist Francis Alÿs (*1959 in Antwerp, Belgium). The exhibition features a series of animations expanding Alÿs’s interest in play, first presented at the Barbican Centre. Focusing on hand games, the works fragment the body, isolating the hand to create an intimate, tactile experience. Composed of hundreds of drawings, the soft black-and-white animations reveal subtle gestures and rhythms, and are projected in darkened spaces alongside the original drawings.
