The work, developed for Tableau Zurich in collaboration with the Art Collection of the Canton of Zurich, is based on the reappropriation of 2D video game level design software and thus explores forms of modular image production within the context of contemporary visual cultures. The starting point is a private archive of screenshots, photographs, found imagery, symbols, icons and sketch-like fragments, which are reorganised into a visual modular system. From this arrangement, images are created that translate the logic into a new visual language. Through repetition, displacement and superimposition, hybrid visual spaces emerge that lie between architecture, interface, abstract cartography and 32-bit video game aesthetics.

The works operate between micro and macro levels: individual tiles stand on their own and are assembled into ornaments, signs, spatial structures or architectural details. Meaning remains deliberately unstable. The images do not follow a coherent visual language, but rather an eclectic principle of fragmentation, reuse and semiotic play.

The 14 works in total are presented in large format on billboard walls. Through this monumental scale, the originally digital, modular structure shifts into the urban space, creating a tension between public advertising, architectural surfaces and experimental image production.
