Join us for the ZAW Closing Event, a sunset finale by the lake at Shedhalle, bringing together an interdisciplinary cross-venue program, including a special collaboration with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich connecting contemporary art and live music.
Introduced by the curators of the exhibition Laura Amann Marín & Jen Kratochvil (Shedhalle) and Music Curator Ulrike Thiele (Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich), nn the “classic meets art” series, the musicians of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich fly out: right inside an art space, we’re sparking a dialogue between different art forms. This time, we are joining forces with Re-Props at the Shedhalle. Walls, plinths, benches and other installations are both works of art and architectural frameworks. The pieces performed pose questions: Which composers belong on a plinth and why not others? When does a musical work of art begin and when does it end? We move through the space together, exploring it through music and dialogue.
The evening continues with DJ sets by Oz for Afterthoughts & Dance Backroom “Acts of Kindness” from 19.30.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the event.
